Our family would like to extend our thanks for the exceptional care provided to W. & J. during her illness and after her death. We have been so impressed at how everyone goes ABOVE & BEYOND and genuinely cares! This is a very special place! When I hear someone say, “I gave up my place for a three hundred square foot room”, I have to smile. In addition to a balcony (the length of the room), a storage locker, a dining room for three meals a day and coffee between meals I have used over 9,710 square feet of common space (which doesn’t include the stairs and hallways). From the fully equipped kitchen in the Recreation Room to the lively game room, residents can enjoy a variety of spaces—without the hassle of upkeep. And that’s not even counting the beautifully maintained grounds and scenic walking paths.
Willamette has been my home for more than 8 years and I hope for many more; I love it. We have a large property for walking and gardening and animals. Transportation into town, good food and friendly staff and residents. We’re not glamorous just a big family. We look after each other.
I have lived at Willamette Lutheran Homes for six years. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. The staff are amazing! They treat us so well and respect us. We are like one big, happy family! Since it is a “not for profit” place they meet our needs.
Thank you for helping us set up the summer reading program with the local school children. The eight students who attended our kick-off were wonderful. Bringing enjoyment to the lives of many residents who don’t get out much. The older boys were inspired by the tour of our hobby shop and the younger ones played games during their reading break. I’m so grateful to have found this community.
I truly appreciate each of the staff at Willamette Lutheran. From the very beginning 8 years ago, the staff have been here for me. You made my first year as a resident an easy transition from struggling to live alone to a comfortable, pleasant community style of living, which I love. Thank you.
